Covid-19: The Episodic Melancholy

The global health pandemic Covid-19 needs no introduction today. It played havoc with lives of people and economy of countries. It is aimed to capture the unfolding ground realities in India and the serious efforts of health functionaries in treating the patients. The disease is an episodic melancholy as manifest itself in different waves. While the countries battled on dual counts- public health and economy, the medical professionals were engaged in twin tasks: risking their own lives while trying to save fellow citizens. To reflect on emerging and contemporary scenario in India has been the chief purpose of the current submission. The objective is to present the critical state of affairs in society and, complement the efforts of government in advising people on taking precautions against the spread of corona virus. Presenting the contemporary conditions through photographs, the portfolio is expected to spread awareness among all stakeholders on the pandemic.
