Friends, I am happy to share that I received the world famous and time-tested Leica SL 3P Camera along with 24-90 Lens and 70-200 Lens at New Delhi today from the hands of the celebrated and globally reputed photographer, Mr. Steve McCurry. Steve’s portrait photo of the young Afghan Girl during the war period alarmed the entire world. He felt happy to unbox the camera and hand it over to me in the Leica Showroom, N Block, Cannaught Place, New Delhi. The new and latest version, SL 3P Leica Camera was officially launched in Germany a month ago and launched in India today at New Delhi. I am happy that I am the first Indian to order and procure this amazing camera after its launch in the country. I am humbled by his appreciation of my photography on the tribal society of the Indian subcontinent. To my gentle surprise, he personally requested me to help in clicking pictures in the tribal habitats of India such as Ladakh and Kashmir. His appreciation and personal request are a token of professional recognition for my humble and modest contribution. I am grateful to Steve for his affection and thorough appreciation.
