A Great Honour at Acharya Nagarjuna University

I am deeply honoured and humbled to have been felicitated by the Vice-Chancellor of Acharya Nagarjuna University on the occasion of the 187th World Photography Day celebrations and the Golden Jubilee celebrations of ANU. This morning, Prof. K. Gangadhar Rao, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sivarama Prasad Ramineni, Rector, and Sri G. Simhachalam, Registrar, honoured me with a special Golden Jubilee memento and congratulated me on receiving the Master Award from the Australian Photographic Society.

The Vice-Chancellor appreciated my three decades of work in photography, my international honours and recognitions, and my documentary photography projects. He particularly appreciated my documentary work on coal mine workers and their challenging lives and working conditions. I am presently serving as Guest Faculty in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Acharya Nagarjuna University, where I have the opportunity to share my experience and knowledge with the younger generation. Receiving this honour from the Vice-Chancellor, Rector and Registrar of my own university is a very special and memorable moment in my photographic journey.

My sincere gratitude to Acharya Nagarjuna University for this wonderful recognition and encouragement.
